WHY POLE DANCE?
You may never have imagined yourself as a pole dancer, but women all over the world are discovering the rewards that are derived from this beautiful art form.  It’s not just pole dancing – it’s about pole artistry. Not just a fitness alternative, you can express yourself through dance – and if you choose it’s also an excuse to dress up in heels each week!

Pole dancing is a proven fat burner – you need to carry your body weight on your arms – initially that’s very hard to do, but after a few weeks your arms get stronger and your moves start to look beautiful. At the same time as strengthening your arms you’re also toning your abs and getting a flatter tummy. To achieve more advanced pole moves you also need to be flexible and have strong legs. Pole dancing provides a complete work out and lots of fun.

Pole has empowered me to do so much. I have challenged myself more in the last 2 years since starting at Miss Fit than I would have thought I was capable of - and I have you guys to thank for that.

WHY POLE DANCE AT MISS FIT DANCE STUDIO?
Our classes are small, informal and everyone has their own pole. There’s lots of contact with your teacher to help you to achieve your goals. Our teachers include qualified fitness instructors and professional teachers of dance and music, who also happen to be great dancers. They want you to share their passion for pole dancing. The environment is non-competitive, supportive and friendly.

As our name suggests we have a strong focus on fitness – each class includes a comprehensive warm up and toning session, we then teach you pole moves and finish with a relaxing warm down session. Our S.T.A.R. classes stand for STRENGTHENING, TONING, ARTISTRY and RELAXATION.

Each 1 S.T.A.R. (beginners) class runs for 1 hour.
All classes in levels above 1 S.T.A.R. run for 1.5 hours. Our classes are very good value!!
Each week we’re progressing through a choreographed routine, and at the end of the term you perform your routine with your class at an informal Graduation Class.
We are very aware of your safety and have designed a curriculum that allows you to progress up through levels of increasing difficulty – when your body and your mind are ready for it!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
As it is an exercise class you need to wear exercise clothing – for beginners shorts that finish above the knee (no leggings) and a comfortable exercise top. Bring a water bottle and a small towel if it’s hot. Our studios are air-conditioned. If you choose, bring along a pair of heels, but nothing too fine or strappy. Our floors are carpeted, so it’s comfortable to dance in bare feet also. We all start in bare feet for warm up.
