Classes @ Miss Fit Dance Studio
The Miss Fit Pole curriculum covers 6 STAR levels. This is to ensure that all students can master each STAR level fully before moving on to the next level. Regardless of the level you are at, you will get the most from your classes if you bring your “can do” attitude, attend classes regularly, and exercise in some form three to four times a week.
Our curriculum is designed to allow you to gradually and safely develop your strength and therefore your proficiency and confidence on a dance pole. We teach you the moves that are appropriate to your level of capability. We take your safety seriously. Our classes are small so there is plenty of teacher attention, and your teacher will be there for you to ensure that you attempt any new moves or lifts safely. If necessary, crash mats can be placed below your pole to make you feel more secure when attempting something new. However, at the same time the classes are really fun and friendly, we like to know each student personally and develop a great camaraderie within the class group.
All beginners start at 1 STAR, our curriculum then progresses up through the levels to 6 STAR for the very advanced pole student. Once you have successfully completed the 1 STAR term you’re ready progress to the next level, 2 STAR. For all levels above 1 STAR, our classes are divided into Fundamentals and Choreography Classes. Before you progress up next to the Choreography class in any level you need to complete the Fundamentals class, where the focus is on teaching you correct technique. At the end of each Fundamentals term you will undergo a proficiency assessment so that you and your teacher can decide if you are ready to move up to the next STAR level. It is not essential to participate in the Choreography term of a STAR level, but it certainly is a very effective way to really develop your pole fitness.
You can participate in both a Fundamentals and Choreography class in the same term, with 30% discount on the 2nd less expensive class.
As our name suggests we have a strong focus on fitness – each class includes a comprehensive warm up, toning and flexibility session, we then teach you pole moves and finish with a relaxing warm down session.
Our STAR classes stand for STRENGTHENING, TONING, ARTISTRY and RELAXATION.
Aerial Hoop - Lyra
Challenge your body and your mind while you learn a range of hangs and holds from below and inside the lyra. Our expert instructors will take you through a rigorous conditioning program so that during the term you are strong enough to try more challenging elements and perform flowing sequences on the hoop or you may learn a choreographed routine including hangs from the top of the bar, as well as transitions and sequences that will allow you to master your flow and control on this apparatus and on the floor. Aerial Yoga & Fitness Classes
Miss Fit Dance Studio aims to help individuals of all ages, shapes and abilities achieve optimal fitness and well-being in a fun & safe suspended environment with Fly Gym. Our programs are based on the latest research in exercise science and holistic methods of teaching physical activity. Fly Gym exercise programs are progressive, adaptable, creative and plain good fun.

Each Fly Gym class runs for 1 hour – 8 week Term - $190 per term
We all want to be more flexy, there’s no doubt about it FLEXY IS SEXY! Whether you just want to be able to touch your toes or to master your needle scale this is the class for you. Our expert instructors will take you through a whole body warm up and safe techniques that will allow you to extend yourself in ways you had not imagined. Flexibility does not just happen overnight, and you’ll get the best results if you attend regularly and practise between classes too. No pole moves are taught in this class. Each session runs for an hour. Suitable for all levels. Wear leggings and a top suitable for exercise, bring a water bottle and yoga mat.

Flexibility And Strength (FAST) Classes
Grace and elegance on the pole come about from developing your strength AND your flexibility. Each week of the FaST term has a different theme – Stretch and Flex, Core and Arms, Leg and Butt Blaster, Floor Flow, Total Body Conditioning and a challenging Circuit Class so you can have plenty of variety in your conditioning program. Every class includes a comprehensive stretch session targeting legs, back and shoulders. You can attend as a casual for targeted classes or commit to a term to develop your overall strength, flexibility and athleticism. We are all working towards the same goal – long lean lines with strength, flexibility and control in both dance and pole elements. Suitable for all levels, no previous fitness experience required to be able to benefit from this class. We record measurements of your strength and flexibility in week 1 so you can compare your degree of improvement in week 8 of the term. Each FAST class runs for 1 hour. $190 per term.
We all start as beginners! Whether you’ve had a taste of pole dancing at a Hens Night or been inspired by something you’ve seen on the web, this is where we all need to begin. No previous experience in fitness, dance or pole dancing assumed. All shapes and sizes welcome. Each 1 STAR class runs for 1 hour. During the 8 weeks of term we teach you an achievable choreographed dance routine, incorporating beginner level pole moves and dance elements. Each week you’re learning something new as you progress through the routine. Your term offers one class a week for 8 weeks plus Grad Night.
Where you can perform your routine (with your class mates) to your invited guests. It's also an opportunity to dress up!
All 1 STAR classes run for 1 hour. $210 per term.
2 STAR FundamentalsDesigned for students who have completed our 1 STAR level or a beginners term at another studio. We will teach you how to start going upside down on the pole, aerial sits, spins and holds. Each class runs for 1 hour, and will include a comprehensive stretching and toning session, and finish with a relaxing warm down. You’ll also be learning some mini-combos but not a fully choreographed routine. This is a pre-requisite class prior to starting 2 STAR Choreography, but the 2 classes may be undertaken in the same term. The Fundamentals term offers one class a week for 8 weeks. Students will undergo a Proficiency Assessment in the last class of the term.
All 2 STAR Fundamental classes run for 1 hour. $220 per term.
2 STAR ChoreographyIn this class you will be taught a choreographed routine containing moves appropriate to the 2 STAR level. You will have the opportunity to perfect the routine during the term so that you can perform it with confidence at Grad night. We assume that you have or are completing the 2 STAR Fundamentals class. The Fundamentals and Choreography classes may be undertaken in the same term. The Choreography term offers one class a week for 8 weeks plus Grad Night.
2 STAR Choreography classes run for 1 hour. $220 per term.
3 STAR FundamentalsThis is the pre-requisite class for 3 STAR choreography. Students in this class should already be able to confidently perform a Crucifix on a spinning pole, and to be comfortable with aerial sits and spins. We will further develop your core strength so that you can safely perform an inverted V, and outside leg hang, laybacks and knee holds. This class can be undertaken in the same term as 3 STAR Choreography. We also strongly recommend that 3 STAR students attend the FaST class. The Fundamentals term offers one class a week for 8 weeks. Students will undergo a Proficiency Assessment in the last class of the term.
All 3 STAR Fundamental classes run for 1 hour. $220 per term.
3 STAR ChoreographyYou will be taught a more choreographed routine that will include inverted moves, hangs and laybacks off the pole, to really develop your pole fitness. Students in 3 STAR should be participating in at least 2 pole sessions a week to successfully complete this level. The Fundamentals and Choreography classes may be undertaken in the same term. You will have the opportunity to master your routine during the term so that you can perform it with great skill at Grad night. The Choreography term offers one class a week for 8 weeks plus Grad Night.
All 3 STAR Choreography classes run for 1 hour. $220 per term.
4 STAR FundamentalsThis is the pre-requisite class for students who have successfully completed the 3 STAR level and wish to progress further. We assume that you are competent with an inverted V, outside leg hang, bent leg layback, headstand to pull through, baby Butterfly off both arms and open Jamilla off both arms. We will be focusing on exercises on and off the pole to further develop your core and shoulder strength. We will teach you inside leg hangs, transitions from outside leg hangs, transitions from Open Jamilla and Baby Butterfly. In the 4 STAR level we also strongly recommend that students attend the FaST class to further develop strength and flexibility. The Fundamentals term offers one class a week for 8 weeks. Students will undergo a Proficiency Assessment in the last class of the term.
All 4 STAR Fundamental classes run for 1 hour. $220 per term.
4 STAR ChoreographyStudents in this level are expected to participate in at least 2 pole sessions a week, and to have participated in the 4 STAR Fundamentals class. 4 STAR requires high levels of core strength, flexibility, dedication and a "can do" attitude. Students are expected to work hard and to apply themselves to achieving a great outcome in this level. This class can be undertaken in the same term as the 4 STAR Fundamentals course. The Choreography term offers one class a week for 8 weeks (plus Grad Night).
All 4 STAR Choreography classes run for 1 Hour. $220 per term.
5 STAR FundamentalsThis is the progression class for students who have successfully mastered the 4 STAR level and wish to progress further. You will be expected to be able to perform technically correct inversions, inside and outside leg hangs, transitions to and from leg hangs, Open Jamilla to baby Butterfly off both arms, Advanced Butterfly and one armed holds before going up into this class. You will be developing your proficiency inverting on both sides of the pole as well as learning shoulder mounts, aerial inversions, static V and you will start to use some new grips. This level is only for the dedicated pole dancer with high levels of shoulder and core strength and flexibility to be able to execute these moves safely. This class is an essential pre-requisite prior to undertaking the 5 STAR Choreography class. Each class will start with an intense warm up and strengthening session to further develop your upper body and core strength, and end with a comprehensive stretch session. The Fundamentals term offers one class a week for 8 weeks. Students will undergo a Proficiency Assessment in the last class of the term.
5 STAR Choreography
Students in this level should be participating in at least 2 pole sessions a week, and to have successfully undertaken the 5 STAR Fundamentals class. We will assume that you already have competent technique for the more complicated pole elements that will be included in these routines. The goal of this class is an outstanding performance at the end of term Grad night. Students are expected to work hard and to apply themselves to achieving a great outcome in this level. The Choreography term offers one class a week for 8 weeks plus Grad Night.
All 5 STAR Choreography classes run for 1.5 hours. $290 per term.
6 STAR Fundamentals
Once you graduate to this level you are a certified pole addict and high functioning athlete. You should be training in pole at least twice a week and balancing that with other forms of sport or exercise for optimal flexibility and athleticism. You should be comfortable executing inverted pole moves off both sides of the pole, as well as aerial inversions, shoulder mounts from a range of grips, static V from a regular grip, flick ups, and be able to transition in and out of Superman from a range of options. You will be learning handsprings, progressions from the static V such as Brass Monkey and Straight Edge, aerial moves requiring high levels of leg strength, and some elbow holds.
All 6 STAR Fundamentals classes run for 1.5 hours. $290 per term
6 STAR Choreography
Having successfully undertaken at least one term of 6 STAR Fundamentals, students collaboratively conceptualize and choreograph their end of term Grad performance under the guidance of their teacher. These performances are invariably a highlight of our Grad nights. You are only limited by your imagination as to the spectacular elements that can be incorporated into these routines. The Choreography term offers one class a week for 8 weeks plus Grad Night.
All 6 STAR Choreography classes run for 1.5 hours. $290 per term.
Mum's & Bubs - Pole & Aerial Yoga Fitness
Miss Fit offer you the opportunity to regain your pre baby body while sharing a challenging and fun workout on the dance pole, while your bub is cared for.
We welcome children up to pre-school age. During the one hour session, all children will be cared on site by a qualified child carer. At anytime during the class you can attend to your child for any settling needs. Your instructors are parents too, and are cognisant of the challenges that parenthood brings. We offer small group pole classes.
The focus of this class is pole fitness & fun. Suitable for absolute beginners through to those who have some pole experience, the curriculum will be tailored to suit your abilities.
Child-minding expenses are in addition to the term fee and are to be shared equally between those attending.

Flex & Strength class for guys is designed to develop your strength & flexibility as well as introducing you to the Dance Pole for the first time. You'll get to experience the ultimate body resistance exercise as we explore various moves & holds on the dance pole. We focus on ensuring you learn the basics correctly as a solid platform for you to build toward more experienced pole tricks.
The FaST Boyz class is suitable for all levels of strength & fitness. No previous dance or fitness experience is assumed. You'll get to work your core & upper body strength in an environment that is very different from a conventional gym. AnDre is an elite pole performer and competitor as well as being a qualified personal trainer.
Each FaST Boyz class runs for 1 hour – 8 week Term - $190 per term
