Miss Fit Dance Studio STAR Classes
Through our expertise and experience, we have designed a curriculum that will allow you to gradually and safely develop your strength and therefore your proficiency on a dance pole. We teach you moves that are appropriate to your level of capability. We take your safety seriously. Our classes are small so there is plenty of teacher attention, and your teacher will be there for you to ensure that you do any new moves or lifts safely. If necessary, crash mats can be placed below your pole to make you feel more secure when attempting new lifts. But at the same time the classes are really fun and friendly, we get to know each student personally and develop a great camaraderie within the class group.
As our name suggests we have a strong focus on fitness – each class includes a comprehensive warm up, toning and flexibility session, we then teach you pole moves and finish with a relaxing warm down session. Our STAR classes stand for STRENGTHENING, TONING, ARTISTRY and RELAXATION.
Our classes are graded in STAR levels, beginning with 1 STAR (beginners), and progressing up through 2 and 3 STAR to 4 STAR and 4 STAR Advanced. Once you have successfully completed the 1 STAR term you’re ready to go up to the next level, 2 STAR. Our classes are divided into Fundamentals and Choreography Classes for 2, 3 and 4 STAR: Before you progress up to the Choreography class in any level you need to complete the Fundamentals class. You can participate in both a Fundamentals and Choreography class in the same term, with 50% discount on the 2nd less expensive class.
1 STAR
We all start as beginners! Whether you’ve had a taste of pole dancing at a Hens Night or been inspired by something you’ve seen on the web, this is where we all need to begin. No previous experience in fitness, dance or pole dancing assumed. All shapes and sizes welcome. Each 1 STAR class runs for 1 hour. During the 8 weeks of term we teach you an achievable choreographed dance routine, incorporating beginner level pole moves and dance elements. Each week you’re learning something new as you progress through the routine. Week 9 is Grad week, where you can perform your routine (with your class mates) to your invited guests. It's also an opportunity to dress up!
All 1 STAR classes run for 1 hour. $210 per term.

Flexibility And STrength (FAST) Classes
Grace and elegance on the pole come about from developing your strength AND your flexibility. Developing your core strength is essential in order to be able to perform more advanced moves, and to prevent injuries. If you feel that you have particular weak areas that are preventing you from progressing with your pole dancing this is the class for you. These classes are suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced, and even non-pole dancers. We have designed an interesting programme that progressively develops your strength and flexibility, it’s not just a stretch class. These classes will develop your strength in your arms, legs and core so that you can perform more pole moves and safely. Whether you just want to be able to touch your toes or do the splits, improving your flexibility makes you feel good, and makes you a better pole dancer. Discounts apply if you’re also attending a pole class.
Each FAST class runs for 1 hour. $160 per term.
